This email was sent to us from one of our partners in Cambodia:
Dear brothers and sisters,
Thanks for your faithfulness to keep us in your prayer. As many of you have heard about Banteay Meanchey province, share the border with Thailand. Many people from the province move to work at the border or in Thailand. Children are also put to work at their young ages. In 2007, we helped a local church to start a project, Save the Children Project. So far, there are 100 children helped to be in school through different programs. Many families in the whole community have been aware of risks when they move to work across the border through our community outreach program.
Even though, the great poverty keeps some families wanting to send their children to work across the border. There are 3 children, 12 - 14 years old from our project ask us to pray for them. Their families want to send them to work in Thailand.
These 3 girls don't want to go work there but they want to pursue their education. They believe that the education can help them to have a better future.
Thanks in advance for praying for these children.
